Hello Hello My Friends,
It is that time of the year when fireworks will be lighting our skies and disturbing the peace every night for the next week, thanks to Independence Day celebrations. Living in Downtown Lancaster, where much of the excitement happens, I have learned not only to expect it but to join in the spirit of it all.

This year, the City of Lancaster organized several events at Penn Medicine Park (it is still Clipper Magazine Stadium to me), home of the Lancaster (Barn)Stormers baseball team (that is like the biggest/main stadium here).
The festivities began on yesterday, July 3rd with a free community celebration from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM that transformed the stadium into a lively festival space filled with music, food, games, and family-friendly entertainment. The night's highlight was a fireworks show from 9:30 -10:00 PM.

I cannot comment on the family-friendly activities because I was on a date with some Frisco Chicken goodies. My friends, there is chicken, then there is Frisco Chicken. I left the apartment at around 9 pm and strolled down to the stadium just in time for the fireworks (grateful for longer days).
Looks like everyone came a little early...as an aside I am all for big businesses supporting local sports but this branding makes it look like we are checking into a treatment facility...why is the subtext all the way in the back - July 2025
1. My first ever baseball game was in 2019, I had no idea what was happening but I was not going to let those complimentary tickets go to waste 2. Police patrolling 3. Opening Game 2022, that is what the old branding looked like 4. Opening game lineup, I still do not understand the game but I know that if you sit somewhere strategic for the opening game, you will definitely have the time of your life...in short I go for opening games (that is why I have never learnt the game).
