On-Boarding A New Isikuti Ops Client, and Planning An End of Year Micro-Event For Them

Got food from a local vendor, tried the food layering thing and projected some warmth on the wall - December 2024

Happy Holidays Beautiful People,

I recently on-boarded a client for Isikuti Operations; a project I hope to grow into a health promotion agency that provides ops and health comms support to lean teams in the health and wellness space. Basically, doing back-end logistics and operations tasks, and providing health comms/advocacy support for solopreneurs and startups, so that they can concentrate on their actual services/health expertise.

building new things - Isikuti operations

Before I got a team for my mental health social enterprise, I was juggling the front line advocacy work, and the behind the scenes admin work. Many solopreneurs and startups may not be ready to hire a team, but can outsource some of the tasks, that is where I (and eventually when we grow/automate with AI) come in.

Their space is so cool, looking forward to working with them in the 2025 - November 2024

Besides the ops tasks, I will be doing some events for my new client. I ran my own poetry nights in Nairobi and Nakuru for years, and organized a couple of mental health promotion events and media/press engagements back in the day, so this will be me going back to my roots, and I am loving it

And since it is the holiday season, my first project is an end of year micro-event.

Made a cranberry and ginger ale mocktail as a wellness alternative - December 2024

It was a chilled laid back event. The client brought a bottle or two of wine and some beers, I made a mocktail drink, and prepared the side table for the gift exchange game, then sat back and enjoyed the moment.

I look forward to all the projects I will do for them next year. I pray for everyone in the process of starting their own thing, may your feet be planted where they are meant to be in the new year.
