Hi Sunshine,

It is November 21, the day after ExtraGive Lancaster, and I am sitting in that quiet, slightly tired afterglow that only a 24-hour community event can leave behind.
This was my second year volunteering at ExtraGive.

My ExtraGive Volunteer Badge - November 2023

For anyone unfamiliar, ExtraGive is a 24-hour, community-wide day of giving organized by the Lancaster County Community Foundation. Across Lancaster County, hundreds of nonprofits, businesses, and residents come together to raise funds for local causes, everything from food security and education to housing, the arts, and community care. Think Giving Tuesday but localized.
Concert - ExtraGive Lancaster 2021 ($12,737,817 raised and counting)
My first experience with ExtraGive was back in 2021, when I had moved to Downtown Lancaster. They were still hosting the concert part of the event outside, and I braved the cold for the music and poetry.
In 2022, ExtraGive moved to the Lancaster County Convention Center
In 2022, I stepping into a volunteer, and really enjoyed helping people out as they figured which charities they want to give to, and how to go about it.
